Born in August, 1992, Wing It has the distinction of being our first born--and we probably made every mistake you can make in raising him!
As a youngster Wings showed great promise as a Dressage mount, but at age 6 he asked us if he could be a jumper. With training from Mark Carter he became a very serious jumper competing all over the Pacific Northwest. Unfortunately arthritis in both front feet cut short his career.
Since July, 2000, Wing It has been teaching me the "fun" side of riding over fences and we have successfully competed in the Hunter Ring. But even that became too painful and he was put out to pasture in August, 2002.
However, in May, 2003, Wings had an experimental procedure done on both front feet that appears to have completely eliminated the chronic pain. He is back jumping and appears to continue to love his job.
