Glen-Aachen, 1984-2004 was our "foundation mare." A Glencoe daughter, out of Gretchen, this Hannoverian mare has presented us with numerous foals -- Whimsey, Wing It, Why Not, In Sync, Why Now, Free Rain and Pyrotechnics.
Aachen developed a moderate-to-severe heart condition during Pyrotechnics pregnancy in 2001. Just shy of three years from Py's birth, in May, 2004, she finally succumbed to her heart disease while running in a field, surrounded by three of her kids and watched over by Lynne, Peter and Py's new owners.
